Matt Is Speaking on Affordable Housing
Matt Decarne, our CEO and Co-Founder, is presenting on the Home Inspo Stage.

The session is titled Affordable Housing, and it is the conversation Matt has been having at every show this year. Where modular construction actually fits in the housing picture, what it costs to put a dwelling on the ground, and which parts of the process people consistently underestimate.

The 4m Micro Home Is Coming With Us
The 4m micro home is the pod we are bringing to Brisbane, and it is worth seeing in person before you form a view on it.
It is a turnkey ensuited studio, 4m long by 2.4m wide, with a full electrical package, split system air conditioning, insulation through the walls, ceiling and floor, and a 1m x 2.4m bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity.
That is 9.6sqm of floor. On paper it sounds tight. Standing in it, with full height glazing and the door open, most people read it differently.
It works as a backyard ensuited bedroom, a creative space, a pool house or a teenager's retreat. It is also the pod we are giving away.
SaltPods, Fresh From The Block
We are bringing SaltPods to Brisbane as well.
SaltPods is our wellness range, built in partnership with Salt, and it landed on The Block recently. The pod featured on the show was an 8m x 2.4m luxury gym pod designed and built by our team. We wrote about the pod we built for The Block when it aired.
The range has grown well beyond that single build. It now covers gym pods, recovery pods and pilates pods, along with commercial configurations for studios and operators. Each one is customisable, so the fitout follows how the space will actually be used rather than a fixed template.

Why We Keep Doing Shows
Photography and a configurator will only take a decision so far.
Most of the questions we get are not really about design. They are about permits, timelines, site access and what a pod costs once it is standing on your block. Those are hard to resolve from a product page and straightforward to resolve in a ten minute conversation next to the real thing.
The pattern has held all year. Landowners planning short-stay accommodation. Families weighing up a granny flat. Couples needing somewhere to live while the main house is being built. Different starting points, and the same handful of questions.
The team will be on the stand across all three days to talk through sizes, layouts, finishes, permit pathways and what your specific site would need.
Where We Have Been This Year
Brisbane is our sixth Home Show of 2026, after Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
Matt has presented at each of them, on panels and on stage, alongside industry peers working on the same problem from different directions.

The Sydney Home Show, from 9 to 11 October, is the last show on our calendar this year, and it is where we will announce the giveaway winner.
