SaltPods powered by Elsewhere Pods gym pod is now part of The Block 2026 prize pool.
The announcement came in episode 25 of season 22, just before the Guest Suite room reveals. Host Scott Cam added two items to the pool: a Speediance Gym Monster 2 and a SaltPods portable gym. Together they take the total up for grabs this season to $300,000..
What Was Announced on The Block
The prize pool on The Block builds across the season, and the additions announced in episode 25 were squarely about fitness. The Speediance Gym Monster 2 is a compact smart strength machine. The SaltPods portable gym is the building that goes around it.
That pairing is not accidental. A home gym only works if there is somewhere to put it, and the pod solves that problem without a renovation. It arrives as a complete building, is placed by crane, and is ready to train in within a day.
Nine has described it as a portable gym. We would describe it as an Elsewhere Pod fitted out as a SaltPod gym pod, which is what it is.
What Is The Block Portable Gym?
The pod at the centre of this is the same system behind everything we build. In this case it is configured as a SaltPod, the wellness range we design and build in partnership with Salt.
The version on site at the share house is 8m x 2.4m. That footprint gives a long, uninterrupted run of floor rather than a square room, which suits strength and conditioning work better than a spare bedroom or a garage ever will. Commercial-grade cable stacks sit along one wall. Full-height glazing replaces the mirror wall. The powerlifting platform sits outside so the training floor stays clear.
Portable is the right word, with one clarification. These pods are not tents or trailers. They are complete buildings with cladding, glazing, flooring, electrical and climate control. Portable means the pod is delivered whole and can be lifted onto a new site later if the owner moves. Delivery is a crane lift, not a build. However, as with any Elsewhere Pod, the pod structure can be delivered flat pack and setup on site with the gym equipment arriving separately.
The Block SaltPods Gym Pod Was Already on Site
Viewers have been watching this pod all season without necessarily knowing what it was.
We craned the SaltPod over the fence line at the share house and set it down on prepared footings beside the pool. Site disruption ran to only a couple of hours. The pod went from crane lift to first workout inside a single day.

The Same Pod, Without the Gym
The prize on The Block is a gym. The building underneath it is not gym-specific.
The pod that becomes a SaltPod is the same one we deliver as a backyard studio, a home office, a granny flat or a self-contained tiny home. Our range runs from a 2.7m studio to an 8m x 4.8m tiny home. What changes is the fit-out and the customisations: a kitchenette, a bathroom, decking, a motorised pergola.
