What sizes do Elsewhere Pods come in?

Elsewhere Pods are available in a range of lengths from 2.7m, 4m, 6m, 8m, 10m to 12m. All with a standard 2.4m width. For larger setups, we also offer double-width options. Whether you need a compact backyard studio or a full off-grid tiny home, there's a pod that fits.

Do Elsewhere Pods need council approval?

The smaller Elsewhere pods like the 2.7m and 4m models, usually don’t require council permits. For larger pods, we can handle the permit process for you. Every pod is engineered to meet the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards, ensuring peace of mind.

What are Elsewhere Pods made of?

Our pods are built using strong, lightweight, and sustainable materials. The frame is made from titanium-magnesium alloy, while the walls are dual-insulated panels with an air gap. Floor-to-ceiling double-glazed glass and thermally broken frames keep the interior bright, quiet, and energy efficient, built for the Australian climate.

How do Elsewhere Pods compare to traditional granny flats or prefab homes?

Unlike traditional granny flats, Elsewhere Pods are modular, flat-packed, and highly customisable. They're faster to deliver, more affordable to transport, and can be installed with far less disruption. From tiny houses to eco stays to creative workspaces, they’re built to suit how Australians actually live and travel.

How long does it take to install or set up an Elsewhere Pod?

Installation is fast. Smaller pods (2.7m and 4m) typically go up in 2 days and can be setup by the customer themselves. Larger pods (6m and above) usually take 3–4 days to assemble on-site after delivery. The total lead time from order to completion is usually around 12–14 weeks for the larger pods, including design, approvals (if required), and fabrication.
